Vintage Funeral Cars at The Laurel Lions Club Car Show
George's 1950 Packard Flower Car. There is something about a car with a truck rear that just speaks to my soul. I spent the most time just gawking at this car, what a sight.
On Sat. Sept 17th the Laurel Lions club hosted their annual Endless Summer Car Bike & Truck Show at the Laurel Municipal Center. There was a great turn-out despite the on and off rain showers. While there was a packed field the cars that caught my eye was the collection of funeral cars brought out for the show and owned by Jay Donaldson. Also at the show was my personal favorite, George Hamlin's 1950 Packard Flower Car. The ornate carvings on the cars along with the shear size of these vehicles were attention grabbers. More pics of some of the other amazing cars from the show will be posted soon along with pics from tomorrow's car show at the Frederick MVA.
